All Voting Is Local

My role is to strategize with state-based teams working to strengthen our democracy. Our teams develop strategic campaigns to reach specific audiences and equip stakeholders with the resources to make informed decisions at the ballot box. We combat disinformation and work to defeat election denialism by shifting the public narrative and advocating for more just policies.

All Power to All Voters

Shifting Public Narrative

Leading up to the 2022 election, the All Voting Is Local team knew the greatest threats to democracy would be voter intimidation, anti-voter bills, and election sabotage attempts. We developed strategic campaigns to advance a pro-voter, pro-democracy agenda in response to the challenges.

In Arizona, we coordinated radio tours and stood up billboards to ensure Native and Indigenous voters in rural communities received the necessary information to vote against an anti-voter proposition. In Michigan, we coordinated with local and national reporters at Detroit Free Press, The Washington Post, and The New York Times to keep false narratives from spreading on election day.

Aghogho Edevbie, state director of All Voting is Local, wouldn’t disclose how many people are part of the coalition but said they are “ready and are capable of standing up against whatever happens in the next couple weeks.”

“The coordination that we’re seeing across all of the different groups in this space is unprecedented,” said Edevbie, who has been working on election protection since 2010. “I think we are super coordinated in a way that I haven’t seen in past election cycles.” In the Detroit News

“If Cyber Ninjas is permitted to continue engaging in publicly-funded operations, the company will continue to undermine confidence in our federal elections,” said the letter, obtained by The Washington Post.

“The damage Cyber Ninjas has already wreaked under its Arizona State Senate contract, along with the potential for future harm should Cyber Ninjas continue to operate as a federal government contractor, necessitate debarring Cyber Ninjas,” the letter added. - Alex Gulotta of All Voting Is Local in a Joint Letter for The Washington Post
