Asset Based Community Development Institute
Asset Based Community Development is a process, a set of principles, and a way of engaging with communities. The process opens with an understanding that every community member has skills, gifts, and talents that can transform the community when used productively and in concert with other community members. The principles are informed by the idea that focusing solely on deficits won’t yield creative solutions to communal challenges. The way of engaging is to accept that all people have dignity and must participate in community practices to achieve community well-being.

Storytelling & Narrative Shaping
A yearlong fellowship with the ABCD Institute led me to a lifelong commitment to ABCD principles and practices. I understand my skills and talents. I use them to lift others higher. As a fellow turned faculty, I joined the ABCD Institute as a trainer, facilitator, and organizational consultant. As a trainer, I provide a variety of workshops and training on dignity-driven storytelling, community relationship building, and organizational development.
