The Fight for Democracy
All Voting Is Local, formerly a national campaign with The Leadership Conference of Civil and Human Rights, launched as a separate organization in 2022. We fight to advance a pro-democracy agenda and support pro-voter policies. I strategize with state-based teams in Arizona and Michigan to develop cohesive messaging while identifying tactics to increase organizational visibility by developing and maintaining relationships with national reporters and media outlets including The New York Times, CNN, The Washington Post, and NBC News.

Affordable Housing for All
Our team determined communications priorities while advocating to reduce the racial wealth gap in Grand Rapids and change inequitable policies in affordable housing. Rooted in place-based and race-based strategies, we told the story of LINC UP by creating compelling content that reflects the southeast and southwest communities of Grand Rapids and their efforts to expand access to housing and wealth building opportunities.

Strengthening Community & Prioritizing Inclusion
The Asset-Based Community Development Institute (ABCD) is at the center of a large and growing movement that considers local assets as the primary building blocks of sustainable community development. Serving as faculty member and steward of the Asset Based Community Development Institute, I train individuals and community organizations on the importance of dignity driven storytelling and inclusive community building.
